Termite and Pest Inspection In submitting
your offer (if applicable
in your geographical area) you may require that a termite and pest
inspection be performed. This company will not only inspect for termite
damage and pest infestations, but will also inspect for dry rot and water
damage amongst other things. The company chosen to perform the inspection is
important to you as a buyer as you want to be sure they do a complete and
thorough inspection. It is important to the seller because customarily they
will be the one to pay for the inspection and certain types of repairs that
may be required.
You
should determine which company you want to perform this inspection and make
it a part of your offer. Otherwise the seller will choose. If you are unsure which company to
use, ask your real estate agent to make a recommendation.
